Senior Software Engineer – Python & AI Platform Integration

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to own key components of our solutions ecosystem: the data connectors that integrate enterprise systems, third-party platforms, and applications to deliver value to our clients. You will play a key role in building reliable, scalable integrations that connect people, data, and applications. The Senior Software Engineer - Python & AI Platform Integration position is offered through Stronium, a close technology partner of Squirro’s.

This position is open only to candidates who are currently residing in Malaysia and can work on-site at Stronium's office.

What You’ll Do

• Build data connectors: Design and ship robust connectors that ingest content from enterprise sources - cloud storage, CRMs, ticketing systems, document stores, databases, and web/APIs.
• Integrate connector ecosystems: Integrate with third-party data-connector and ingestion platforms, normalizing and mapping diverse, messy schemas into data model.
• Deliver insights where users work: Build application-consumption integrations that surface business insights directly inside Microsoft Teams, Slack, and similar collaboration and productivity platforms.
• Make integration effortless: Create reusable frameworks, SDKs, and configuration patterns so new connectors and integrations can be built quickly and maintained reliably.
• Own reliability: Handle authentication (OAuth, SSO), rate limiting, incremental sync, error handling, and observability across many external systems.
• Collaborate & keep it simple: Partner with product and engineering to turn integration requirements into clean, maintainable solutions that work at scale.

What You Bring

• Strong experience building and scaling backend systems in Python - ideally integration- or data-ingestion-heavy.
• Hands-on experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, OAuth/SSO, and integrating third-party platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack, Salesforce, SharePoint).
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, message queues, and handling high-volume, messy data reliably.
• Solid grasp of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Bonus: experience building bots or apps on collaboration platforms (Teams apps, Slack apps) or contributing to connector frameworks.
• A pragmatic mindset and comfort in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where ideas quickly turn into production.
