Solutions Architect - EMEA

We are looking for a Solutions Architectto join our EMEA team. You will work at the core of the GenAI revolution, with organizations that are moving GenAI from pilot to production across industries, and own the technical winon your accounts, from the first conversation to the signed contract.

This is a fully remoterole for candidates based in the EU. You will be part of the EMEA team, mostly based in Switzerland, and support customers across EMEA and APAC.

What You’ll Do

As a Solutions Architect, you are the technical owner of your opportunities and accounts, end to end: from the first point of contact with a prospect to closing the deal and handing over to delivery. This is a strategic, client-facing role, not an operational one. You decide how we win technically, you shape the solution together with the customer, and you are accountable for it being sound and deliverable. You bring a consulting mindsetto every engagement: running workshops, digging into processes, and designing solutions with the customer rather than for them.

Key responsibilities include:

Consulting and Discovery

• Lead discovery workshops with prospects to identify their real pain points, understand the processes behind them, and surface the blockers that matter.
• Define the “As-Is” and “To-Be” states together with the customer and translate business objectives into a solution architecture.
• Scope the solution jointly with the customer: architecture, timeline, deliverables, success criteria, and effort estimation, validating feasibility with Squirro project managers and engineers.
• Document findings in Statements of Work (SOWs) and project scoping templates, so that delivery teams can pick up exactly where you left off.

Technical Win: Demos, PoCs, and RfPs

• Own the technical win strategy on your accounts: what to show, what to prove, and how to close.
• Demonstrate Squirro’s platform to prospects, tailoring presentations and demos to their use case and industry.
• Scope and run Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) on client data - preparing data, configuring the solution, and prototyping - to validate requirements against success criteria agreed with the customer.
• Act as the technical authority in customer meetings: answer technical questions, respond to RfPs and RfIs, and address objections from architects, CISOs, and IT leadership.

Account Ownership: From Sales to Delivery

• Partner with Account Executives as the technical owner of the opportunity, from qualification through to deal closure.
• Own the handover from presales to delivery, including formal handover meetings and documentation, and remain the architectural point of contact during implementation.
• Support your accounts after go-live on architecture evolution and expansion opportunities.
• Channel structured feedback from customer interactions into Product and Engineering.

Scalable Assets and Enablement

• Build and maintain reusable presales assets: demo environments, RfP answer libraries, PoC playbooks, scoping calculators, and SOW templates.
• Contribute to retrospectives and feedback loops to improve how we scope, estimate, and hand over.
• Enable Account Executives and partners on technical positioning, and share best practices across the organization.

What You Bring

As this region continues to grow, we’re looking for a hands-on Solutions Architectwho is comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels.

• 4+ yearsof experience in technical consulting, solution engineering, data science, data engineering, or software development
• Client-facing experiencein a technical sales or consulting role, explaining complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A consulting mindset: you know how to run a workshop, ask the uncomfortable questions, and turn an ambiguous problem into a solution the customer owns with you.
• Hands-on GenAI and search experience: you have built or deployed LLM/RAG solutions and understand embeddings, hybrid retrieval, prompt design, grounding, and permissions-aware enterprise search well enough to explain why an answer is wrong and how to fix it. Experience with taxonomies and knowledge graphs, or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, is a plus.
• Architecture and integration skills: comfortable with Python and SQL for data preparation and prototyping, REST APIs and enterprise connectors (SharePoint, Confluence, databases), authentication (OIDC, SAML, AD), and the basics of cloud, Kubernetes, and on-premises or air-gapped deployments. You can draw an architecture and defend it in front of a CISO.
• Industry experience in Financial Services, Government or Manufacturingis preferred.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with fluency in English. Additional languages are preferred, in particular Chinese, Arabic, German, French, or Italian.
• A degree in Computer Science / Data Science / Machine Learningor a related technical discipline.
• Based in the EU- this is a fully remote role.
