STV is looking for an experienced Construction Manager - MEP to join our PMCM team in Texas to manage the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems associated with complex construction projects in a mission-critical environment. This role coordinates MEP construction activities, manages contractors and personnel, monitors schedule and quality, and ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulations.

The Construction Manager - MEP will collaborate closely with project leadership, engineers, designers, contractors, inspectors, and clients to proactively identify issues, resolve field conflicts, and ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and related building systems throughout construction.
  • Review MEP drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and construction documents to support proper installation and identify potential conflicts.
  • Direct and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and other project personnel to maintain project objectives.
  • Develop and manage MEP construction activities in alignment with overall project schedules, milestones, staffing requirements, and sequencing.
  • Monitor installation progress and proactively address issues that could affect schedule, cost, quality, safety, or system performance.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify MEP installations conform to approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate MEP activities with architectural, structural, civil, and other disciplines to minimize conflicts and prevent construction delays.
  • Lead coordination efforts related to equipment installation, energization, startup, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
  • Monitor procurement and delivery of critical MEP equipment and materials to ensure alignment with construction schedules.
  • Review project progress, material usage, costs, and schedule performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Facilitate MEP coordination meetings and communicate project status, risks, constraints, and required actions to project stakeholders.
  • Support resolution of field conditions, design conflicts, change orders, and constructability issues.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local codes, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and project standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project personnel while fostering collaboration, accountability, and effective communication across the project team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant construction experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience managing MEP construction activities on large, complex projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and building systems installation and coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, MEP coordination, quality control, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes, safety requirements, environmental regulations, and construction standards.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, resolve complex field issues, and maintain project schedules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead collaborative project teams and effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Compensation Range:

$118,489.97 - $135,417.11
