What You'll Do

There are two key business lines within Sunbound, both exist as part of a single user journey.

Private Pay

• Residents typically join communities with cash already in their bank account. Sunbound assesses whether they are financially viable, protecting residents from committing to a decision where they may enter debt. We provide communities with data on the projected run rate, validate asset and income information, and project any issues with Medicaid eligibility across all 50 states.
• Sunbound runs the accounts receivable billing cycle each month for every community. We scrub through invoices to discover anomalies or inconsistencies, flag it to the operator, and help them collect the right amount from their residents. At the heart of this is a deterministic and agentic engine that consumes copious amounts of structured and unstructured data to provide intelligence to the operator to make decisions.

Revenue Cycle Management

• Once it’s time to switch to insurance, residents will need to use their insurance to live at the community. Sunbound’s job is to totally automate what is normally an army of billers and humans that press buttons across thousands of portals and apps just to get paid by the insurance company. The nature of RCM means lots of communication in paper, paragraphs, and emails - perfect for an agent to process and help humans make decisions.

Who you'll work with

We're a small and mighty team, and this role gives you exposure across the organization, from executive leadership to individual billers and support staff. Day to day, you'll work closely with:

Our VP of Product brings a background in software engineering paired with hands-on founder experience, having built and led product for early stage companies across healthcare and consumer industries. He's hands-on, moves fast, and stays close to the latest tools and technology to help the team build smarter and more efficiently.

How you'll fit in

• You have a technical background and think in systems.
• You have an eye for detail and design, even if you're not a designer.
• You're comfortable working across multiple tools and workflows to move fast and get things done.
• You can connect the dots between gross margin impact and why a button needs to be right aligned.
• You value autonomy and take ownership without waiting to be told what to do.

What we're looking for

• BA/BS in a technical or analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or related)
• 4+ years of product management or adjacent product-building experience
• Strong customer empathy and design thinking with a track record of shipping products people love
• Passion for AI, shown through hands-on building, prototyping, or side projects and a habit of staying current on research and tools
• Hands-on fluency with LLM concepts including prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, and evaluation, and the judgment to translate these into reliable, user-facing products
• Genuine AI curiosity in practice: you follow model releases, understand how AI memory and context windows work, explore open-source LLMs, and regularly experiment with what's new
• Fluency with modern prototyping tools including Cursor, Bolt, and Claude Code, and comfort with design and collaboration environments like Figma and Git
• Fluency in data and experimentation, and the judgment to know when the data can't give you the answer
• Proven ability to lead small, cross-functional teams toward ambitious goals with urgency and ownership
• Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences, synthesizing complex systems into clear, compelling narratives
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills

What will make you stand out

• Experience in fintech, health-tech, or B2B SaaS products
• Prior experience building or launching LLM-powered features in a production environment
• Familiarity with senior living, payments infrastructure, or revenue cycle management
• Experience running lightweight customer interviews or usability tests
• Comfort with basic front-end concepts like components, states, and APIs

Compensation Range

$180,000—$230,000 USD
