Cleared Cloud DevOps Engineer - Expert

Sunfire Solutions is hiring a Cleared Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for its clients. The role also includes collaborating with stakeholders and teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Managing, optimizing, and securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Implementing and managing containerization strategies (Docker, Kubernetes orchestration)
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure, application, and pipeline issues across environments
• Mentoring junior DevOps engineers and fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement
• Identifying and evaluating new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability

Skills

• We are looking for talented DevOps Engineers with a TS/SCI security clearance (and active poly) security clearance
• In this role, you should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, stay organized, and provide detailed technical analysis
• 10+ years of demonstrated DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI)
• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef)
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred, Azure, GCP)
• Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes orchestration)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk, Datadog)
• Strong knowledge of networking, security best practices, and Linux operating systems
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies
• Active US Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI with active poly)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Willingness to take on challenges and learn new things
• Desire to be at the forefront of your field
• Ability to work individually or in groups
• BS/BA in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• AWS strongly preferred
