Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Lead Database Administrator (SQL Server) with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, performance tuning, Always On Availability Groups, replication, cloud-based SQL environments, and database automation. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing large-scale production environments and leading database administration initiatives independently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments across Azure and AWS platforms.
- Manage database availability, backup, restore, disaster recovery, and Always On Availability Groups.
- Troubleshoot and optimize SQL Server performance in production environments.
- Manage Transactional Replication and Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines.
- Develop and maintain SSIS packages, SQL Agent jobs, and SSRS reporting infrastructure.
- Perform SQL code reviews and enforce database best practices.
- Manage production deployments through structured change control processes.
- Build performance dashboards, automate administrative tasks, and support database migration projects.
- Participate in on-call production support and incident resolution.
Mandatory Skills :
- Microsoft SQL Server, Always On Availability Groups, Transactional Replication, Change Data Capture (CDC), T-SQL, Query Performance Tuning, Execution Plan Analysis, Azure / AWS SQL Administration, PowerShell, SSIS, SSRS, Database Backup & Restore, Production Support.
Good to Have :
- CI/CD for Database Deployments, SSAS, Python Automation, Grafana, Azure / AWS Database Certifications.
