Migration & Cutover Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Migration & Cutover Manager to play a pivotal role within a large-scale IT Integration Programme. This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the controlled migration of users, applications, collaboration services, infrastructure components, network services, and business data into a new enterprise target environment.

Working across multiple programme workstreams, you will ensure migrations are executed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to business operations. The role will involve managing complex migration waves, coordinating technical and business stakeholders, and overseeing cutover, service transition, Early Life Support (ELS), and operational readiness activities.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong programme delivery, stakeholder management, and migration leadership experience within complex, business-critical environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Migration Manager, Migration Project Manager, Cutover Manager, or Transition Manager.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 migration methodologies.
• Experience managing application, infrastructure, and data migration activities.
• Experience coordinating business readiness and service transition activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at executive and operational levels.
• Excellent planning and programme coordination capabilities.
• Strong risk, issue, dependency, and change management experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced, complex environments.
• Experience developing migration runbooks, cutover plans, and readiness assessments.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience delivering integrations following mergers, acquisitions, or business separation programmes.
• Experience within energy, utilities, offshore, industrial, or other operationally critical environments.
• Knowledge of identity and access management migrations.
• Experience working across Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Understanding of enterprise collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and OneDrive.
• Experience managing Transition Service Agreement (TSA) driven migrations.
