Mechanical Test Lab Technician - CNC

Role and Responsibilities

• Working a 12hr shift pattern; Overtime will be expected on occasion.

  (Other shifts may be required, appropriate notice will be given)

• Machining of cured composites by CNC (Setting/Operating/Programming.)

• Use of LIMS, SAP, and various other PC based system.

• Expected to demonstrate strong safety leadership.

• Liaising with various areas of the business to ensure the demands of the business are met.

• Ensuring high levels of housekeeping are maintained.

Experience and Skills

• Be flexible - willing to adapt to various shift patterns to suit the demands of the business
• Background (experience or education) of programming, setting, and operating CNC grinding and milling machines (3, 4-axis)
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, technical specifications
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.)
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues to maintain quality and output

What We Offer

• The UK-based annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is £30,039.70 +16.6% shift. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
