Senior Software QA Engineer (Functional/Embedded QA)

We are hiring a Senior SoftwareQAEngineer focused onintegration and functional validationfrom early design through release. In this role, “embedded” meansworking directly withthesoftware engineering teamsthat tie together real-time orchestration, robotics, on-prem and edge components, and customer-facing experiences-end-to-end behavior where hardware, services, and timing meet.We are looking for an individual to collaboratively enhance manual test strategies, automated test coverage, best practices, feedback loops, and release readiness.If you thrive ontakingownership andbuildingpartnerships in a cross-functional environment, you will fit our culture.

Whatyou'lldo

• Lead test planning,manage testscopeandrisk assessment, andreport testresults

• Design and execute integration, functional,user workflowand regression testing

• Testsoftwarein simulation,virtualization, and integratedsystemenvironments

• Detect, triage, and trackissues across software, services, APIs, and test infrastructure

• ValidateAPI contracts, data flow, and system behavior under loadforlatency and resiliency

• Partner with engineering, automation, and product teams toensurereleasequality

• Mentor peers, improve playbooks, andevolveteststrategy, tooling, and team capabilities

• Influencetest architecture and release readinessenhancementsacross teams

• Contribute to automation efforts and drive component-level quality improvements

Whatyou'llneed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Minimum of five years in software QA, systems validation, or integration testing

• Hands-on experience with integration and functional testing indistributedsystems

• Proficiencywith testing and debugging APIs, messaging, or asynchronousarchitecture

• Testing experience in simulation, emulation, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) contexts

• Scripting to automate validation or extend coverage (e.g., C#, Python, Bash)

• Demonstrated collaboration and learning agility inrapidtechnical environments

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (tool-agnostic) and CI integration

• Experience withplaybooks and microservices(e.g.,Linux, Ansible,Kubernetes, etc.)

• Exposure to cloud-based architecture and testing practices in hybrid systems

• Knowledge of data processing and persistence (e.g., Kafka,SQL,RabbitMQ, etc.)

• Background in mentoring or drivingprocess andtestbestpractices across teams
