We are seeking a Senior API Developer to design and build core backend services for a sophisticated Master Data Management platform. You will engineer server-side components that power complex data workflows, including ingestion, processing, and orchestration, utilizing a modern cloud-native stack.

Our client is a prominent global player in the computer software industry, specializing in high-performance data management solutions. They are known for fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation, supporting large-scale enterprise operations across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend microservices using Java Spring Boot for core data management functions.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs following OpenAPI and Swagger standards for enterprise system integration.
  • Implement complex business logic for data survivorship, conflict resolution, and golden record computation.
  • Integrate with various AWS services including RDS, S3, SQS, Lambda, and EKS.
  • Develop workflow orchestration for stewardship tasks using AWS Step Functions or similar tools.
  • Implement robust security controls including OAuth2, JWT authentication, and role-based access control.
  • Support DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes for containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with architects to define technical design and contribute to high-level and low-level documentation.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of professional backend software development experience.
  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Batch.
  • Strong proficiency in microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and event-driven patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Prior experience working with financial data domains such as securities or reference data is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize JVM performance and database queries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
