GenAI Data Engineering Lead

This is a senior leadership role for an engineering professional who will lead software, front-end, and AI engineering teams in delivering scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions. You will drive technical excellence, champion innovation in AI and cloud-native engineering, and align technical decisions with business objectives. The role is based in Pune with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions within scope, time, and budget, managing timelines, allocation, risk, and prioritisation.
• Mentor team members, conduct performance reviews, and provide actionable feedback to support professional growth.
• Define engineering standards, best practices, and modern development processes, enforcing peer reviews and robust testing.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and execute technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and team productivity.

Requirements

• Strong leadership experience managing software engineering teams.
• Hands-on expertise in Python development (FastAPI, Django, APIs, Microservices) and React.
• Experience building Generative AI solutions, including LLMs and AI Assistants, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), AI Agents and Agentic Workflows, Prompt Engineering, and GenAI Governance and Responsible AI.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Containers) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams of software, front-end, and AI engineers.
• Track record of driving scalable, secure, and resilient technology delivery.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
