QA Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated QA Tester to join our team in Pune on a hybrid work model. With 7-9 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise-level applications, data warehouses, and data processing pipelines. You will design comprehensive test plans, execute automated and manual tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform software quality assurance on enterprise-level applications with a strong focus on data warehouse testing.
• Write complex SQL queries and determine appropriate testing types including data validation and regression.
• Evaluate requirements testability and create comprehensive test plans supporting business and technological solutions.
• Test multiple test phases across medium to large projects with a clear understanding of data warehouses and data marts.
• Apply identification and test data preparation techniques effectively.
• Execute test cases and manage the software test life cycle, test case life cycle, and defect life cycle.
• Utilize QA automation test tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Appium.
• Conduct extensive backend and ETL testing utilizing high-level SQL skills and Informatica suite of tools.
• Analyze large data sets, ensure data quality framework compliance, and perform data analysis including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation.
• Track defects and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for performance improvements.

Requirements

• 7-9 years of software quality assurance experience, specifically in a QA Engineer role for data processing ETL pipelines.
• Experience with Informatica or Alteryx for data processing pipelines.
• Experience in industry-grade automated testing and functional or regression testing of data processing pipelines.
• Experience in infrastructure testing and testing with mock data.
• Proficiency in reporting detailed software defects.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux environments along with Python or shell scripting experience.
• Degree in BE/BTech or Graduate/Postgraduate in Computer Science or Information Technology.
