Senior Associate - Data Scientist (GCC Advisory)

This role is focused on building data-driven solutions for forecasting, business planning and decision-making. You will analyse sales, budget and operational data, build and validate predictive models, and develop LLM-based and Agentic AI workflows. The position combines technical depth in Python, SQL and statistics with business understanding to deliver reliable, explainable AI supported by business rules and human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Perform data extraction, validation, preparation and feature engineering using Python and SQL.
• Develop and evaluate time-series forecasting models using time-based validation and backtesting.
• Analyse trends, seasonality, volatility, forecast bias and prediction errors to improve forecasting performance.
• Build and validate machine learning models and apply model interpretability techniques.
• Develop LLM-based solutions with structured outputs, prompt templates, guardrails and output evaluation.
• Build AI workflows using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, agents and human-in-the-loop systems.
• Monitor data quality, model performance, data drift and threshold stability.
• Create reports, dashboards, audit trails and technical documentation, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning, forecasting and model evaluation.
• Knowledge of class imbalance, probability calibration and model explainability.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering and output validation.
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases and agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of APIs, automation, business rules and human-in-the-loop systems.
• Advanced Excel, strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• 4-10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
