Role description:
As a Technical Support Placement Student, you'll have the valuable opportunity to work closely with our technical support team, enhance your problem-solving skills, and assist our clients in resolving their technical issues.
Position Overview: We're seeking a proactive and motivated Technical Support Placement Student to join our university program for a duration of 9 months starting in June 2027. This Placement will allow you to gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, learning valuable skills that are essential in today's technology-driven world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the technical support team to assist clients with their technical inquiries and issues.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and professional support experience.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to our products/services.
- Offer step-by-step guidance to clients on resolving technical issues via phone, email, or chat.
- Document and track customer interactions, resolutions, and feedback in our support systems.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members when necessary.
- Contribute to the creation of technical support resources, such as knowledge base articles and FAQs.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in technology and a desire to learn about various software and hardware systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Patience and empathy when dealing with clients facing technical challenges.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Prior technical support or customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
Compensation : £14/hour
Duration: 9 months
