You understand that managing a portfolio is not about status reports, it is about knowing which fires to put out and which risks to escalate before they burn.

Your background in Mixed-Signal IP, SOC, or ASIC development means you can hold your own in technical conversations with engineering leads, and you know what good looks like when a project manager is trying to wrangle a complex deliverable. You are comfortable sitting with a customer who is frustrated and walking out with a plan that rebuilds trust. At Synopsys, you will lead a team of project engineering managers who depend on you to clear the path, make the tough calls, and keep the portfolio moving.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a team of project engineering managers responsible for delivering Mixed-Signal IP and semiconductor development projects on scope, on schedule, and to the quality standards customers expect
• Track and analyze portfolio performance across multiple concurrent projects, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve execution and outcomes
• Monitor project health in real time, spotting early warning signs of schedule slippage, resource constraints, or scope misalignment, and guiding your team to course-correct before issues escalate
• Communicate project status, risks, and customer escalations to senior management with clarity and context, ensuring leadership has what they need to make informed decisions
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management teams to align project execution with both pre-sales commitments and post-sales delivery
• Drive process innovation and consistency across the project management function, helping your team adopt tools, methodologies, and best practices that improve efficiency and predictability
• Support your project managers in high-stakes customer interactions, stepping in to represent project execution externally when credibility, technical depth, or senior-level engagement is required

• You will strengthen cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support, ensuring that commitments made during the sales cycle are grounded in what project teams can actually deliver
• Your focus on quality assurance and process rigor will improve the consistency and predictability of project outcomes across the Mixed-Signal IP product line

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in project management, program management, or technical delivery roles, ideally in Mixed-Signal IP, SOC, ASIC, or semiconductor development environments
• Proven track record leading teams of project managers or technical program managers and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects to completion
• Deep experience managing customer expectations, navigating difficult conversations, and maintaining trust under pressure
• Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, you know what works in practice, not just in theory
• Experience adhering to quality management system processes and procedures is a strong plus
• Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels, you can set direction for a portfolio and also roll up your sleeves to help unstick a specific project when needed

• You thrive in environments where priorities shift, requirements evolve, and success depends on your ability to keep multiple moving pieces aligned without losing momentum
