Staff Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python backend development and hands-on experience with React or AngularThe ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable applications, driving technical architecture, mentoring engineers, and solving complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Python.
• Build robust REST APIs and backend services using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Develop responsive and scalable user interfaces using React or Angular.
• Drive technical architecture and design decisions for complex, enterprise-grade applications.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and establish best coding and engineering practices.
• Identify performance, scalability, and reliability issues and implement effective solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, contributing to overall technical growth.
• Collaborate on cloud-native, distributed, and microservices-based applications.
• Participate in system design, technical discussions, and engineering initiatives.

Requirements:

• 9-14 years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend application development.
• Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with React or Angular.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Strong understanding of system design, architecture, scalability, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud technologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerised applications.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI-based applications is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

• A hands-on technical leader who can contribute across the backend and frontend, drive architecture and design, mentor engineers, and build scalable enterprise applications using Python + React/Angular.
