At TAPI, we’re not just a company-we’re a community committed to advancing health from the core. As the world’s leading supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), we partner with 80% of the top 50 global pharmaceutical companies. With a legacy spanning over 80 years and a portfolio of more than 350 products, as well as custom CDMO services, we’re shaping the future of health worldwide.

Our strength lies in our people-a team of over 4,200 professionals across 13 state-of-the-art facilities in Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Israel, Mexico, and India. Together, we innovate, solve problems, and deliver excellence. Join us and be part of a mission that transforms lives.

Join TAPI's Debrecen production site and play a key role in ensuring the reliable supply of raw materials that support our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. Working closely with local stakeholders, global suppliers, and cross-functional teams, you will drive sourcing initiatives, support cost savings, and help maintain a resilient and efficient supply chain.

This position is supporting the Debrecen site. We are flexible in work-location and can offer a more flexible set-up from Budapest. We are expecting some site presence on a regular by-weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and global suppliers to ensure supply continuity and competitive commercial terms.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical raw materials used in API manufacturing.
  • Negotiate contracts and support supplier performance management initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, supply risks, and raw material availability to proactively mitigate disruptions.
  • Support the delivery of annual savings targets and contribute to budget planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of global and local procurement initiatives and category strategies.
  • Contribute to inventory optimization and operational excellence across the site.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within a highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, healthcare, or related manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific, technical, business, or supply chain-related field.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple functions.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to regularly travel to and work from the Debrecen production site, with a minimum on-site presence of one day per week.
