A StyleConsultant is passionate about strong operations and providingan incredible guest experience,that brings the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. StyleConsultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guestsneeds on the sales floor and in the fitting room. Ensuring the floor is set full withthe right product, accurately priced and signed on the salesfloor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

• Ourguestservice fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store

• Retail business fundamentalsincludingdepartment sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies and basic visual merchandising

• Industry trends includingstyle, seasonality,and brand differentiation

• Set, fill, and price the floor according to what is most important to the guest

As a Style Consultant, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day will most likelyincludethe following responsibilities:

• Drive sales and deliver a guest ready floorpadby executing visual standards, inspirational & promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assistthe guest as needed.

• Leverage store tools to understand sales,inventory ownership, & use to solve & support guest needs.

• Sort truck freight, push freightto the salesfloor, and locatemerchandise in the backroom based on business needs.

• Set visual presentations& visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.

• Maintain product availability and a full floorpadby executing priority fills, manual fills, & merchandising to capacity to create a guest ready floorpad.

• Execute & maintainbackroom organization, inclusive of locatingmerchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, & guest requests.

• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using remerchandising best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience for our guest.

• Support price change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, inclusive of signing execution.

• Maintain and use the fitting rooms as an opportunity to welcome, inspire, and help guests.

• Support fulfillment and guest’s needs by ensuring merchandisefrom the fitting roomand guest service are worked back out to the salesfloor throughout the day.

• Always demonstratea culture of ethical conduct, safetyand compliance.

• Work in a safe manner at all times;comply withall safety policies, best practices,and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beveragelaws.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.

• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.

• Thank guestsand let them know we’rehappy they chose to shop at Target.

• All other duties based on business needs

• You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, daysor shifts (including nights, weekends, holidaysand other peak shopping times).

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a style consultant. But,there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operatehandheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.

• Effective communication skills

• Work both independently and with a team

• Resolve guest questions quickly

• Capability to remainfocused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplishmultiple tasks within established timeframes

• Accurately handle cash register operationsas needed

• Climb up and down ladders

• Scan, handleand move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequentlylifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandiseand fixturesup to 44pounds without additionalassistancefromothers.

• Flexiblework schedule (e.g., nights, weekendsand holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary.

• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.

• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
