Role
This role focuses on procuring wind turbines for onshore wind projects, owning the Turbine Supply Agreements (TSAs) and Full Service Agreements (FSAs) or O&M agreements for each project, with Solar PV and BESS as additional scope. It is a procurement-focused role covering commercial strategy, OEM engagement, and the highest-value contract negotiations. It is remote, with about 25% travel to OEM facilities, project sites, and company offices.

- Oversee the full sourcing process for wind turbine generators (WTGs), from RFIs and RFPs through bid assessment, negotiation, and contract award
- Manage the interface between turbine supply and long-term service agreements so that warranties, power curve and availability guarantees, LDs, and risk allocation align across the asset lifecycle
- Balance upfront CAPEX against lifetime service costs to optimize total cost of ownership and project returns
- Own senior-level relationships with strategic wind OEMs and suppliers, including capacity reservations and framework agreements, to ensure supply security and long-term competitiveness
- Support, and where required lead, the procurement of PV modules and BESS, including associated supply and long-term service agreements
- Coordinate with Legal, Engineering, and Tax teams on risk allocation, LDs, technical guarantees, and contract interfaces, including tariff, domestic content, and foreign entity of concern (FEOC) provisions
- Monitor wind market trends, OEM supply chain dynamics, lead times, and pricing benchmarks, and advise senior leadership accordingly
- Identify and manage portfolio-level procurement risks including delivery risk, supplier concentration, and regulatory and trade exposure
- Support investment processes including procurement input into FID decisions and investment committee materials
- Act as procurement lead for assigned projects, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, managing internal approval stage gate process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, commercial, or contract management, with a significant portion in renewable energy
- Essential: Hands-on experience negotiating and managing TSAs and FSAs or O&M agreements for onshore wind
- Track record of leading complex, high-value negotiations with global wind turbine OEMs
- Experience setting procurement strategy at portfolio or program level
- Strong commercial judgment, with experience in risk allocation and contract structuring
- Solar PV and/or BESS procurement experience is a strong advantage
- Working understanding of U.S. tariff, domestic content, and FEOC requirements for equipment sourcing
- Comfortable working remotely and traveling approximately 25% of the time
Key Attributes
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial judgment and risk-based decision-making
- Executive presence and effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead without direct authority
- Structured, methodical, and detail-oriented
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing, and partially defined environment
- Able to balance cost optimization with long-term asset performance
- Works on own initiative and collaborates well with the project team
