Position Overview:

The Manager, Workplace Design & Experience is a strategicroleresponsible for shaping innovative environments across TD's U.S. real estate portfolio. This role leads planning, design strategy, and experience for corporateand retailenvironments, executive spacesandamenityareasthat support employeeand clientengagement, business performance, brandexpressionand operational excellence.

The successful candidate is a forward-thinking design professional wholeveragesArtificial Intelligence (AI) toiteratedesignconceptsas well as to evolve andmaintaindesign standards and metricswhilemaintainingstrong designand technicalexpertise. The role blends creativity, business acumen, and innovation to developconcepts, standards, and solutions that align with TD's evolving workplaceand retailvision and enterpriseobjectives.

Working within Enterprise Real Estate, the Manager provides subject matterexpertisefordesigninitiatives, partnering with businessliaisons, project teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into meaningfuldesignexperiences. This individualbalancesdesignwithrequirements, ensures alignment with standards, and develops solutions that support flexibility, collaboration, inclusivity, and long-term organizational success.

The role requires a strong ability to apply generative AI, visualization tools, and emerging technologies to concept development, space planning, test fits, renderings, and design solutions, while continuouslyidentifyingopportunities to improve efficiency, innovation, and project outcomes.

Depth & Scope:

  • Researches relevant benchmarking and industry trends

  • Brainstorms and conceptualizes a variety of possible experience scenarios and provides definition and application logic

  • Creates and develops business-specific concepts and solutions

  • Connects requirements across lines of business to insure standards alignment and clear direction for partners and consultants

  • Participates in planning, managing, and implementation of special programs providing design experience subject matter expertise (SME) as related to other business unit initiatives having an impact

  • Establishes a close team relationship with all project partners to identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions to address customer requirements and special needs with actionable insight

  • Manages multiple, broad, and large-scale initiatives

  • Collaborates to ensure solutions developed meet company design and technical standards

  • Manages external consultants to ensure timely and accurate production of design solutions that meet business objectives and align with established Company procedures and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Graduate Degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below

  • 5+ Years of related experience

  • Registered or unregistered architect, project manager or designer, licensed professionals preferred

  • Experience with LEED & WELL, LEED AP & WELL AP certification preferred

  • Must have management experience related to consultants

  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Multi-day travel may be required, including travel to active construction sites

  • Must possess excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project

  • Must have experience reading and performing quality control for construction documents

  • Must have demonstrated architectural/interior design experience related to corporate and retail projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline

  • Financial services or large corporate workplace experience is an asset

Customer Accountabilities:

  • Understands and supports the Bank’s Customer Service Strategy

  • Considers the impact of advice and decisions on the well-being of the Bank, as well as its customers, its employees and stakeholders

  • Provides the highest level of Customer service when dealing with internal partners, vendors or our Customers - WOW at every opportunity

Shareholder Accountabilities:

Financial Accountability

  • Supports the development and implementation of operational strategies and objectives to achieve measurable excellence in the quality delivery of sales, service, and products aligned with “Best Run” concepts and overall enterprise strategy and objectives

  • Participates in establishing and executing plans and goals for the Business to drive toward results.

  • Develops and maintains an operating budget, ensuring adherence to budget. May delegate budgetary assignments to direct reports, but maintains overall budgetary responsibility and oversight

  • Provides financial reports and analysis including budget variances to management on a regular basis

Business Operation Accountability

  • Communicates business strategies, programs and practices - establishes and operates change strategy throughout the organization

  • Delivers business services, functions and capabilities that optimize the use of process, technology and our people, and takes advantage of TD’s scale and operating model

  • Ensures TD is a best run, integrated, customer-focused, growth organization

  • Understands business unit/function’s own risk appetite statement, objectives for risk and control, and measures, where applicable, making sure these are aligned with TD’s Risk Appetite. Ensure that the business / function operates within TD’s Risk Appetite by tracking key metrics against its policies, procedures and limits

  • Successfully completes all required job specific, compliance-related training and ensure team members complete all required training. Understand, utilize and follow compliance/risk and control programs. Consult with all risk functions in the development and documentation of policies, procedures and controls, for all department processes

  • Ensures ongoing compliance with internal / external audit and regulatory requirements. Provide prompt and comprehensive response to all external audit, regulator and compliance requests and findings. Maintain appropriate records of action plans

  • Sets appropriate context for the business unit/function to enable optimal performance and alignment to strategy

  • Supports the creation of goals and objectives for the business unit/function. Communicates those goals and objectives to the team
