TD SYNNEX is an American technology distributor formed in 2021 by merging Tech Data with SYNNEX, and it is one of the two companies through which most of the world's technology hardware and software reaches resellers and end customers. Its business is enormous in revenue and thin in margin: it buys from thousands of manufacturers, warehouses and finances the inventory, and sells onward to hundreds of thousands of resellers who lack the scale to deal with vendors directly. Headquartered in Clearwater, Florida and Fremont, California and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it also assembles data centre systems through its Hyve division.

About the Role

Are you an organized, detail-focused procurement professional who enjoys solving problems, managing moving pieces, and keeping orders on track?

TD SYNNEX is looking for a Procurement Specialist II to support purchasing, order management, backlog management, and billing activities. This role is ideal for someone who can work accurately at a fast pace, navigate detailed processes, and confidently manage transactions from purchase order placement through customer invoicing.

You’ll play an important role in helping the business keep orders moving, resolve issues, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver a strong experience for internal stakeholders and vendor partners. Much of the day-to-day work centers on actively managing the order backlog, responding to changes, addressing holds and exceptions, and coordinating with multiple teams to reach resolution.

If you're comfortable working through detailed documentation, learning complex processes, and taking ownership of issues from start to finish, this is an opportunity to deepen your procurement expertise while making a visible operational impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and manage purchase orders, with a focus on drop-ship transactions.
  • Actively manage the order backlog, identifying changes, holds, exceptions, and other issues that require action.
  • Analyze purchasing information and business requirements to support informed buying decisions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve order-related issues and keep transactions moving.
  • Maintain accurate, complete documentation throughout the procurement and order-management process.
  • Monitor order accuracy and proactively investigate discrepancies, changes, and potential delays.
  • Process accurate and timely billing activities to support customer invoicing and revenue recognition.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for vendors, and internal stakeholders, communicating progress and outcomes clearly.
  • Support vendor performance discussions and contribute to productive vendor relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute subject-matter knowledge to special projects and evolving business needs.
  • Support onboarding and knowledge sharing with team members.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, operations, order management, or a related business environment.
  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Experience working with purchasing transactions, purchase orders, order management, or related operational processes.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new business systems and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret detailed instructions, documentation, and business requirements and translate them into accurate action.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • The ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach
  • Sound judgment and personal accountability
  • The ability to work independently and follow through on responsibilities
  • Adaptability when priorities, orders, or business requirements change
  • A willingness to learn detailed processes, systems, and procedures quickly

Work Environment

  • Primarily onsite in Gilbert, Arizona, 3 days in office, 2 days remote
  • Professional office environment
  • Occasional non-standard hours may be required
  • Additional hours may be needed during peak business periods or month-end cycles to support timely processing of critical transactions
