About the Role
Team Global Express is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team based at our Murarrie Depot. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, leading delivery partners, and ensuring exceptional service outcomes for our customers.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee fleet operations, driver performance, service delivery, customer relationships, and operational compliance. You will work closely with customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with service commitments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating daily fleet operations and delivery activities to achieve service and performance targets
- Allocating transport resources and communicating operational plans to key stakeholders
- Monitoring service delivery and resolving operational issues in a timely manner
- Managing driver attendance, leave, performance, and compliance requirements
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Delivering toolbox talks and supporting the ongoing development of delivery partners
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety standards, and Chain of Responsibility obligations
- Monitoring scanning compliance, POD retrieval, and operational reporting requirements
- Coordinating backup vehicles and contingency plans when required
- Preparing and reviewing daily and weekly operational and KPI reports
- Investigating service issues and implementing solutions to improve operational performance
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes
- Ensuring driver and vehicle presentation standards are maintained
- Supporting a positive safety culture across both customer and Team Global Express sites
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, fleet operations, or supervisory role (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and manage teams
- Experience coordinating drivers, vehicles, and daily transport operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges
- High attention to detail with strong administrative and reporting capabilities
- A hands-on leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
