E-commerce Business Analyst for fintech (full-remote)

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the development of e-commerce payment solutions. You will translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear requirements and help deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Working within a Scrum team, you will connect business expectations with technical implementation, prepare functional specifications, and assess the business impact of technical decisions.

The assignment offers fully remote work and is planned for 15 months, with a possible extension that is not yet confirmed.

Main responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a Scrum team, clarifying business requirements throughout development.
• Discuss customer and stakeholder needs and systematically gather and document business requirements.
• Analyse and assess requirements and recommend suitable implementation options.
• Review existing functional specifications and prepare or update specifications for development.
• Document system interfaces and clarify their functional requirements with relevant stakeholders.
• Follow development progress and help ensure that implemented solutions meet agreed business requirements.
• Evaluate the business impact of technical choices and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where they address business needs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in business or systems analysis for software solutions.
• Strong ability to gather, analyse, and assess business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Knowledge of the ISO 8583 messaging protocol.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle, infrastructure, and development techniques.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate within a Scrum team.
• Strong written and spoken English, including communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with e-commerce projects.
• Experience in a similar position in the finance or IT sectors.
• Knowledge of Git and Confluence.
• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.
