Tebra is a healthcare technology company headquartered in Newport Beach, California, formed in 2021 following the merger of Kareo and PatientPop. The firm develops a comprehensive cloud-based platform that integrates electronic health records, medical billing, patient scheduling, and practice marketing tools for independent healthcare providers. Operating primarily within the United States, the company supports thousands of private practices and billing companies by automating administrative tasks and enhancing patient engagement through AI-driven solutions.

Tebra only initiates contact with candidates via email from an official Tebra email address (@tebra.com, @patientpop.com, or @ kareo.com) or through our applicant tracking system, Greenhouse. We will only ask you to provide sensitive personal information through our official application portal - not via social media or text message. We do not conduct interviews via instant messaging.

About the Role

Tebra is seeking a Senior Product Manager for our Patient Experience portfolio. You will help independent healthcare practices connect with patients and reduce administrative work. You will own product strategy and execution, turn customer needs into clear priorities, lead cross-functional teams from discovery through launch, and measure customer and business outcomes. You will bring practical AI fluency to both the products you build and the way you work. Scope may evolve across Patient Experience products, including calendar and scheduling capabilities, as customer needs and business priorities change.

Your Area of Focus

  • Define and design features on one or more of Tebra’s core products that solve customer problems.
  • Drive Message Center forward as a core Patient Experience product, improving patient and practice communication while partnering with Engineering, Legal, and Operations on application-to-person (A2P) messaging compliance, registration, consent, and delivery reliability.
  • Identify where AI and automation can reduce practice staff effort or improve patient interactions. Use approved AI tools to synthesize research, explore solutions, build working prototypes, and test assumptions while validating outputs and protecting confidential data.
  • Partner with technical teams to define AI quality measures, representative evaluation cases, human review and fallback paths, and launch criteria. Balance usefulness and accuracy with privacy, latency, and cost.
  • Perform market research, including defining and analyzing customer segments, reviewing industry research reports, assessing strengths and weaknesses of competitors, determining needs of different specialties, and studying pricing and packaging options.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to design features and processes for Tebra’s platform and customer experience.
  • Research product positioning and provide recommendations to Product Marketing.
  • Collecting feedback by reviewing customer support issues, administering user acceptance tests, reviewing sales win/loss data, and visiting customers to study product interaction in their natural environment.
  • Preparing software design plans including product specifications, use case documentation, and user interface wireframes.
  • Managing the customer experience roadmap, including documenting product strategy and owning the feature backlog.
  • Analyze and prepare product usage reports on key product features and provide recommendations for the product roadmap.
  • Stay current on industry-related regulatory and compliance requirements that pertain to healthcare technology.

Your Professional Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in product, focused on software applications.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI in product work, with examples of prototypes, experiments, or workflow improvements that helped a team learn or deliver faster. Experience shipping and evaluating an AI-powered product capability in production is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of large language models, prompting, retrieval, and agentic workflows, including their limitations. You can collaborate with technical partners on evaluations, human oversight, privacy, and responsible use.
  • Demonstrated success with customer-facing products, complex workflows, and product strategy, with the ability to understand patient and independent practice needs.
  • Proven track record as product manager at a successful B2B SaaS / Cloud software business with agile product management experience.
  • Proven track record of executing complex product initiatives and processes with multiple stakeholders at senior and junior levels.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated analytical rigor, attention to detail, and the ability to structure and analyze sophisticated financial modeling.
  • A flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business trade-offs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and move through ambiguity.
  • Prior experience developing products in the healthcare industry is preferred.
