Job Summary

Network Security Engineer (Firewall Operations & Network Support)

Role Summary

Responsible for managing day to day firewall changes, security policy updates, connectivity requests, and basic routing & switching activities. The role primarily involves execution of standard, repeatable change requests (CHGs) through established operational and change management processes.

• Execute firewall rule modifications and policy updates as per approved change requests.
• Process firewall requests for connectivity to external services.
• Perform firewall port openings and closures (e.g., TCP 443, TCP 22, and other approved ports).
• Validate firewall rule implementation and confirm service accessibility.
• Review and maintain firewall security policies in accordance with organizational standards.
• Support administration of enterprise firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower, or equivalent.
• Monitor firewall logs and security events for operational visibility.
