Senior MERN Stack Developer

Shipping a feature is the easy part. The real work starts afterward: how the app holds up when users double overnight, how quickly it bounces back when something fails, and whether the client’s product is still growing a year from now.

Techdome builds production-grade platforms for clients across FinTech, Healthcare, E-commerce, SaaS, Logistics, and EdTech. The industries differ, but our standards don’t: every system has to be secure, reliable, and built to scale. We’re hiring a Senior MERN Stack Developer to design, build, and operate full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js (with TypeScript), and to remain accountable for them well beyond go-live.

What you’ll do

• Own features from idea to production: Take work through design, development, release, and ongoing support, staying responsible after launch.
• Build full-stack products that scale: Deliver clean React front ends and secure, well-tested Node/Express APIs backed by well-modeled MongoDB data that perform under real traffic.
• Raise the quality bar: Lead thoughtful code reviews and promote practices that keep codebases readable, tested, and maintainable.
• Be the calm during incidents: Step in when things break, restore service quickly, and run root-cause analysis so problems don’t come back.
• Influence architecture: Contribute to technical design and the key decisions that shape how our platforms evolve.
• Mentor others: Coach junior and mid-level engineers and lift the whole team’s skills.
• Collaborate across functions: Work closely with product, design, QA, and DevOps, with hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, and observability.
• Think like the client: Learn each client’s users, goals, and constraints fast, and translate them into the right technical solutions.

Your first 90 days

• Days 1-30 (Settle in and ship): Learn our codebases, tooling, and team, and deliver your first meaningful contribution.
• Days 31-60 (Take ownership): Own a feature or service end to end and contribute actively in code reviews and design discussions.
• Days 61-90 (Become a trusted owner): Become a dependable engineer on a core client product, handle production issues with confidence, and begin guiding teammates.

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of professional experience building full-stack web applications
• Deep expertise in the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js, with strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
• Solid understanding of REST API design, MongoDB schema design and indexing, authentication and authorization, testing, and application security
• Experience with state management and performance optimization in React (e.g., Redux, React Query, code splitting)
• A track record of running production systems, not just building them
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Comfort with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring and debugging
• Experience working across different industries or product types, with the ability to ramp up quickly on new domains
• Leadership instincts and a habit of stepping up when ownership is needed

Nice to have

• Strong system design skills, including microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture
• Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, or WebSockets/real-time features
• Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code
• Exposure to compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, or SOC 2
• Experience integrating third-party services such as payment gateways (Stripe, Braintree, Adyen), CRMs, or analytics tools
• Consultancy or product-studio experience managing multiple clients and projects
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
