JOB INFORMATION :
Job Title : Manager - Product Development (Engineering Manager .NET)
Location : Hyderabad
Shift : 11-8pm / 2pm-11pm
Working Mode : 5 Days working from Office
JOB PURPOSE :
The Manager of Product Development is responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise for developing and supporting new and existing software products within Custom Application Research & Development (CARD) at HCA Healthcare. This individual will analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and cloud-native implement solutions in an agile development environment, and provide mentorship to other developers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Development Standards : Ensure that staff engineers adhere to established standards and procedures for development activities.
- Project Management : Lead and manage development projects from inception through to implementation.
- Testing and Reviews : Ensure unit testing and peer/code reviews are completed to maintain high-quality standards.
- User Support : Provide advanced troubleshooting and user support to resolve issues and improve user experience.
- Performance Metrics : Establish baseline KPIs and gather operating metrics to evaluate technology adoption.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement process changes that enhance technology adoption.
- Training : Conduct training sessions to help employees adopt new technologies effectively.
- Software Development Lifecycle : Lead the SDLC process for projects aimed at stabilizing, enhancing, and expanding the CARD team capabilities.
- Requirement Gathering : Gather requirements, author stories with acceptance criteria, and remove team roadblocks.
- Staff Management : Manage all staff members including developers, business analysts, quality assurance, and support personnel.
- Application Support : Manage ongoing application support and ensure SLAs are met.
- Agile Principles : Evangelize and implement Agile development principles.
- Technology Evaluation : Evaluate innovative technologies for departmental use and organizational fit.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with leadership, client executives, and project managers to deliver application enhancements.
QUALIFICATION :
- B.Tech or Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related fields.
EXPERIENCE :
- Overall 10 - 15 years of experience.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in managing product development lifecycles, user testing, interaction design, and Agile development.
- 3+ years of team management experience.
SKILLS :
- People Management : Resource allocation, performance reviews, mentoring, and employee development.
- Technical Skills : Hands-on experience building cloud-native .NET applications (GCP preferred), leading front-end/back-end/database developers, Lean/Agile techniques, version control (GitHub, Azure Repos), and project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Projects).
- Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
