Mainframe Developer - Incident Management

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe AMS to provide application management and production support for critical Mainframe systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Mainframe technologies, incident management, and application support, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless operations in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide Application Managed Services (AMS) support for Mainframe applications and platforms.

- Monitor, analyze, and resolve application and production-related incidents within defined SLAs.

- Support and maintain Mainframe applications built on IMS DB/DC, CICS, DB2, and Netron.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.

- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth application operations.

- Execute and support batch processing activities and production deployments.

- Troubleshoot application, database, and transaction-processing issues across Mainframe environments.

- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.

- Ensure application stability, performance, and availability through proactive monitoring and support.

- Prepare and maintain operational documentation, support procedures, and knowledge repositories.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for support processes and system reliability.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience in Mainframe Application Managed Services (AMS).

- Hands-on expertise in:

1. IMS DB/DC

2. CICS

3. DB2

4. Netron

- Good understanding of:

1. JCL (Job Control Language)

2. COBOL

3. Mainframe Production Support Processes

- Experience with Incident Management and Service Management tools.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), or other large enterprise environments.

- Knowledge of ITIL processes; ITIL certification is an added advantage.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

- Experience handling critical production support environments and service delivery commitments.
