UX Researcher

One of TEKsystems' leading Gaming and Lottery clients is looking for a UX / CX Researcher to join their growing Digital Experience team. This team operates like a dedicated digital organization within a large enterprise, delivering high-profile customer-facing digital products and experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about understanding customer behavior, uncovering user needs, and translating research findings into actionable insights that improve digital experiences. You will work closely with product, business, technology, and design stakeholders to shape and optimize digital solutions through user-centered research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute research plans, participant recruitment criteria, screeners, discussion guides, and study methodologies.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative UX/CX research, including:
  • User interviews
  • Usability testing
  • Surveys
  • Journey mapping
  • Secondary research
• Analyze user journeys, workflows, and task flows to identify friction points, unmet needs, and opportunities for experience improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to validate assumptions and support digital product decisions.
• Synthesize research findings into clear insights, recommendations, and prioritized opportunities.
• Present research outcomes and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously, including project planning, timelines, stakeholder management, and execution.
• Support prototype-based research activities in collaboration with design teams.
• Work independently while effectively navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, risks, and dependencies.

Required Qualifications

• 4 -5+ years of experience in UX Research, User Research, Design Research, CX Research, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience conducting:
  • User interviews
  • Usability testing
  • Survey design and analysis
  • Qualitative and quantitative research
• Strong understanding of:
  • User journey mapping
  • Workflow analysis
  • Task-flow analysis
  • Customer experience research
• Experience translating research findings into actionable recommendations for product and business teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
• Experience supporting digital products and customer-facing platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UX/CX research tools such as:
  • Dovetail
  • UserTesting.com
  • Qualtrics
  • UserZoom or similar platforms
• Experience using collaboration tools such as:
  • Figma
  • Miro
  • FigJam
• Experience working within Agile digital product environments.
• Previous experience in gaming, lottery, financial services, digital commerce, telecommunications, or other customer-focused digital organizations.

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
