Reporting directly to the General Manager, the TPM serves as the primary customer interface and is accountable for program execution, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and successful delivery of technical and contractual commitments.

This position requires a technically strong leader with experience managing complex defense and aerospace programs from proposal and development through qualification, production, and lifecycle support. The ideal candidate understands the challenges of developing high-reliability products in regulated environments and can effectively lead cross-functional teams to achieve cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of aerospace and defense development, qualification, NPI, and production programs.
  • Serve as the primary interface with customers, ensuring strong relationships and proactive communication.
  • Develop and manage integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Contracts, and Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, statements of work, technical specifications, and contractual deliverables.
  • Manage Estimates at Completion (EACs), Estimates to Complete (ETCs), revenue forecasts, profitability projections, and cash flow performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, supply chain, quality, and financial risks while capturing opportunities to improve program performance.
  • Lead proposal development, cost estimating, and bid activities for new business opportunities.
  • Conduct customer reviews, executive status briefings, technical reviews, and internal program governance reviews.
  • Drive successful transition of development programs into production while maintaining customer satisfaction and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other STEM discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience managing aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated technical development programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing ruggedized electronic systems, embedded electronics, power electronics, sensor systems, avionics, or other mission-critical technologies.
  • Proven success leading programs through development, qualification, production readiness, and manufacturing transition.
  • Experience managing government and/or prime contractor programs with organizations such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Boeing, General Dynamics, L3Harris, or the U.S. Department of Defense.
  • Experience managing program financials, including EAC, ETC, revenue, margin, and cash forecasting.

Critical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical understanding of electronic hardware development, requirements management, product qualification, verification, and validation processes.
  • Ability to interpret and manage compliance to customer, technical, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen with ownership of program profitability and forecast accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of customer and executive organizations.
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams in a matrix environment without direct authority.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk management, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to successfully balance technical performance, customer expectations, schedule commitments, and financial objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) development and production programs.
