We are now looking for aSourcing Manager to take ownership of developing a competitive, reliable, and scalable supply base for Teleste’s Public Safety and Mobility business. In this business-critical role, you will influence supplier strategy, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity for demanding electronics and technology products used in public transport, passenger information, and safety-critical operating environments. The role is located inLittoinen, Turku.

You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and cost improvement initiatives within your area of responsibility, working closely with engineering, operations, quality, and project teams.

This is an empowered individual contributor role, offering broad ownership and influence without direct people-management responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing activities for selected categories, suppliers and materials

  • Lead RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and commercial agreements with clear ownership of results

  • Develop supplier performance in cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability

  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes together with internal stakeholders

  • Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and cost comparisons to improve competitiveness

  • Identify supply risks, availability constraints, and obsolescence issues, and drive mitigation actions

  • Monitor and improve sourcing-related KPIs and supplier performance

What we are looking for

  • Several years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and/or supply chain management in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and cost competitiveness

  • Ability to deliver measurable negotiation outcomes in pricing, terms, lead times, or supplier performance

  • Strong understanding of technical sourcing, electronics, electromechanical and/or mechanical assemblies, or industrial manufacturing processes

  • Ability to work effectively with R&D, production, quality, and project teams in a cross-functional environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Experience with ERP tools

  • We're an international company, so you'll need to communicate confidently in both Finnish and English
