What is the focus of the role?

Join Telstra's Modern Workplace team as a Managing Consultant, helping organisations transform the way they connect, collaborate and work. In this role, you'll bring together business insight, technical expertise and stakeholder engagement to deliver innovative Microsoft Voice and Modern Endpoint Management solutions for enterprise customers. You'll work across the full customer journey, from discovery and solution design through to implementation, adoption and operational transition, helping customers achieve secure, efficient and meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative workshops with customers and stakeholders to understand business needs and shape solution outcomes.
• Design and deliver Microsoft Teams Phone, voice, collaboration and endpoint management solutions that support customer success.
• Support workplace transformation initiatives including migration, security, governance, adoption and operational readiness activities.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers, account teams, delivery specialists, partners and vendors to proactively manage risks and drive successful outcomes.
• Use service, adoption, licensing and compliance insights to identify opportunities for improved user experience, automation, security and operational efficiency.
• Contribute technical and commercial expertise to solution architecture, Statements of Work and customer proposals.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Voice: Teams Phone, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Teams Rooms, Enterprise Voice, VoIP, Session Border Controllers (AudioCodes and Ribbon), IP PBX modernisation and Skype for Business migrations.
• Modern Endpoint Management: Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, MDM/MAM, Windows and mobile device management, application protection, device compliance, BYOD and corporate device strategies.
• Identity and Security: Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, MFA, PKI, SSO, federation, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, endpoint security and Zero Trust.
• Microsoft 365 and Automation: Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, PowerShell scripting, automation, licensing optimisation and adoption reporting.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience delivering consulting, advisory or technical solutions within large and complex enterprise environments.
• Exposure to migration or transformation programs involving communication, collaboration, endpoint management or cloud platforms.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and governance skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes.
• Broad understanding of cloud, networking, infrastructure, security or virtualisation technologies.
• Microsoft Modern Work, Teams, Endpoint Management, Security or Azure certifications are valued. We also welcome candidates who are working towards certifications or keen to develop in these areas.
• Australian citizenship with eligibility to obtain NV1 security clearance. Existing NV1 clearance is highly regarded.
