Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer, you thrive on understanding and translating customer needs into new products and capability. You apply deep technical expertise and experience in software application layer solutions, to develop and deliver scalable design blueprints across the end-to-end software development life cycle. Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and engineering support for business-critical applications and services.

  • Maintain high levels of application availability, reliability, performance, and security.

  • Lead technical investigations, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.

  • Support application upgrades, enhancements, integrations, cloud migrations, and lifecycle initiatives.

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Support change, release, and deployment activities while ensuring operational readiness.

  • Drive automation, modernisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the application portfolio.

  • Manage technical risks, compliance requirements, and governance obligations.

  • Maintain technical and operational documentation, support models, and service standards.

  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to internal teams and delivery partners.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience supporting and engineering enterprise applications within large and complex environments.

  • Extensive knowledge of software development, application support, integration technologies, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

  • Experience working with vendors, managed service providers, and cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Domain Expertise

  • Strong functional and operational knowledge of TDI and Wholesale business processes, systems, and application ecosystems.

  • Deep understanding of the operational workflows, regulatory obligations, service delivery models, and customer impacts associated with Telstra's TDI and Wholesale application landscape.

  • Ability to bridge business requirements and technical solutions while providing subject matter expertise across application support, enhancements, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
