TensorWave is an American cloud infrastructure company headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, and founded in 2023. The company provides a specialized AI cloud platform powered by AMD Instinct accelerators, offering bare metal instances, managed Kubernetes, and high-speed storage for large-scale model training and inference. It serves enterprise clients and AI research teams globally, positioning itself as a high-performance alternative to NVIDIA-based cloud providers through its focus on open-source ROCm software and cost-efficient scaling.

About TensorWave

Our mission is simple: deliver seamless, secure, reliable, and resilient AI compute at scale. We've built a versatile cloud platform that eliminates infrastructure barriers, empowering builders to focus on innovation instead of fighting their stack. Because breakthrough AI should move at the speed of ideas, not infrastructure.

About the Role

TheSenior Manager, Technical Program Management, Data Center Build and Design is the program leadership seat for how TensorWave builds data centers.

You will lead the Technical Program Management team responsible for data center design and build delivery across our largest campuses, the 100 MW and above deployments that carry the majority of our committed capacity. You own the delivery framework that governs every site: a thirteen gate structure that runs from site qualification through basis of design, design freeze, permitting and long lead commitment, construction mobilization, substantial completion, energization, commissioning, turnover to operations, and into revenue service.

The engineering belongs to Construction Engineering and Design, MEP Engineering, and Operations. The general contractors, colocation partners, and vendor bench execute the work. You own the program: the integrated schedule, the cross-organizational dependencies, the gate packages, the risk register, and the honest status. This is a maximum leverage, minimum direct authority role. Your influence comes from cadence, written discipline, and being the person in the room whose read on the schedule everyone trusts.

You will also build the team. This seat manages a group of TPMs, with a target model of a dedicated program manager anchored to each campus delivering 100 MW or more, and you are accountable for hiring them, leveling them, and developing them into a bench that scales as the portfolio does.

What You’ll Do

  • Phase gate framework ownership. Run the thirteen gate delivery structure as a live system across every active site and data hall. Gate package quality, review cadence, three outcome discipline (pass, conditional pass with a dated owner, or hold with a scheduled re-review), and conditional pass tracking to closure. No waived gates, including turnover acceptance by Operations.

  • Team leadership. Build and manage a team of four to eight technical program managers across levels covering concurrent multi-site builds. Own hiring plans, capacity allocation across sites, performance calibration, career development, and the onboarding and training that makes a new TPM productive on a site inside 30 days.

  • Integrated schedule and portfolio truth. Own the design and build layer of the integrated master schedule: critical path logic, gate milestones, interlocks between whitespace design and facility design freeze, long lead procurement commitments, and fit-out sequencing in completed zones. Produce portfolio status that executive leadership can act on without re-verifying it.

  • General contractor and colocation partner accountability. Hold external contractors, landlords, and the vendor bench to scope, schedule, and deliverable quality. Own the interface milestone discipline for colocation sites, where early gates are landlord controlled but our readiness reviews, acceptance, and service readiness are not.

  • Escalation and recovery. Be the first and usually the last line on high priority delivery blockers. Diagnose, assemble the options, drive the decision, and communicate the recovery plan in writing. Executive intervention should be a choice, not a requirement.

  • Compounding delivery velocity. Capture cycle time data per gate and per site, feed lessons into the playbook while they are fresh, and prove that site N+1 clears gates faster than site N. Make the framework leaner over time, never heavier.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • 8 to 12 years in technical program management or delivery leadership, with at least 2 to 3 years managing people.

  • Direct ownership of data center design and construction delivery at scale. Multiple concurrent sites, or a large multi-phase campus, taken from design through commissioning and into service.

  • Demonstrated command of stage gate delivery governance. You have run a gate framework, and ideally built or materially rebuilt one, with written entry criteria and decision records rather than status meetings.

  • Personal fluency in schedule logic at Primavera P6 grade or equivalent, critical path analysis, risk register discipline, and decision logs. You do not delegate the truth of the schedule to a coordinator.

  • Working depth across data center infrastructure: power architecture (utility feeds, generators, UPS, switchgear, PDU, busway), cooling including liquid cooling for high density deployments, structured cabling and fiber plant, and commissioning level structures from factory acceptance through integrated systems testing.

  • Track record of moving engineering organizations, general contractors, and vendors you do not control. Influence without authority is the core mechanic of this role.

  • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain a team of program managers.

  • Executive communication that leads with the conclusion. You escalate early, in writing, with a recommendation attached.

  • Expect regular travel to your assigned construction site, at minimum monthly, with extended on-site presence during energization and commissioning windows. Estimated travel is 30 to 40 percent, weighted toward critical delivery milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDCDP, CDCP, or equivalent formal data center certification.

  • Experience delivering AI density whitespace: high kW per rack halls, direct liquid cooling integration, and pod to power granularity trade-offs.

  • Hyperscale, GPU cloud, or AI infrastructure background, particularly inside an organization scaling through hypergrowth.

  • Experience with both greenfield builds and colocation tenant deployments, including landlord interface management.

  • Experience standing up a program management function rather than inheriting a mature one.

  • Familiarity with GPU cluster deployment: rack integration, network fabric bring-up, node burn-in, and validation testing.

  • Candidates based near our Las Vegas or Richmond hubs are preferred.
