GL Accountant

We’re looking for a GL Accounting Analyst to drive accurate month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. Partner with Finance and AP teams to resolve issues and improve processes through ERP, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.

This role is  hybrid, based out of Bengaluru, India.

Who You Are

• 2+ years of experience in GL accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids or financial reporting, preferably in a shared services, CoE, GCC or multi-entity environment.
• B.Com/BBA/BBM Finance or equivalent; M.Com, MBA Finance, CA Inter, CMA Inter or ACCA part-qualified is a plus.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, accruals, prepaids, reclasses, variance analysis and financial controls.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, and the ability to work within close calendars and deadlines.

What We Need

• Support month-end close by preparing accrual, prepaid, amortization, reclassification and correction journal entries with complete supporting documentation.
• Perform AP-to-GL reconciliations, investigate variances and reconciling items, and work with AP and Finance teams to drive timely resolution.
• Review expenses and account fluctuations, identify unusual trends, coding issues or missing accruals, and provide clear variance explanations.
• Hands-on experience with QBO and/or ERP GL modules is preferred; exposure to AI-enabled finance workflows, ERP implementation, UAT or process improvements is a plus.

What You Will Learn

• Build strong expertise in month-end close, accrual accounting, prepaids, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Gain hands-on exposure to QBO/ERP systems and learn how Finance teams manage global close processes and internal controls.
• Work closely with AP, Finance and business stakeholders while contributing to automation, process improvement and scalable Finance operations.
