Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer who loves building product experiences and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. You’ll be a key contributor to our core product, working across the stack to solve complex problems, deliver new features, and help shape the future of demo automation.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product and other Core Engineers to bring ideas to life and ensure we continue delivering an exceptional experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain core features across the TestBox platform (Front-End and Back-End)
• Take ownership of technical projects from design to deployment
• Collaborate with Product to ensure we’re building the right solutions for our customers
• Contribute to technical decisions and direction alongside the Tech Lead and Engineering team
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and provide thoughtful feedback to peers
• Debug and resolve production issues as part of our shared on-call rotation

Preferred Experience

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience working across the full stack (React, Django)
• Strong knowledge of API design and integrations (REST, GraphQL, or similar)
• Strong understanding of database systems, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Comfort working in a startup or fast-paced, product-driven environment
• A proactive, ownership mindset! You enjoy taking projects from concept to completion
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

90 day plan

• Week 1-2: Onboarding and meet the team
  • Join onboarding sessions with key peers to learn about the company and what your role will look like.
  • Familiarize yourself with company documentation.
  • Schedule time with team members to meet them and understand how you will work with them!
• Week 3-4: Familiarize yourself with our app and infrastructure

  • Participate in team meetings and start settling into your new role.
• Week 5-8: Shadowing peers
  • Begin working closely with peers as they complete tickets.
  • Ask questions and learn from what your peers are doing and why, to better understand their approach to tasks.
  • Continue learning what the day-to-day at TestBox looks like as you settle into your role.
• Week 9-10: First assignments with pairing
  • Partner with Product to receive your first assignment.
  • Work closely with peers to ensure you have everything you need to succeed and successfully complete the assignment.
• Week 11-12: Independent assignments
  • Take full ownership of a new assignment, managing it end to end, while knowing your team is available for support.
  • By now, you should feel settled into your role at TestBox and ready to fully participate in cycle planning and projects.
