Brief overview of the business areas
Cybersecurity Technology & Engineeringis responsible forfielding solutions that help defendCLIENTagainst a wide range of threats to the business as well as its customers, clients, partners, and staff. The team works in concert, with partner teams acrossCLIENT, to implement novel defensive capabilities that are effective and adaptable against a constantly evolving threat landscape. The Engineering Excellence and Enablement Team
We are a team of multi skilled engineers / architects who design and build integration solutions for Cyber services acrossCLIENT. Ouroverall aimsareto improve the security of the bank by removing friction from the cyber services engineers consume, and to improve how Cyber engineers its own services. This includesworking with teams to improve theirDevSecOpspractices, pipeline integration with cyber services, and working with thePrincipalEngineering community across the bank to run POC’s for improvements to existing services, or development of new services and features. This can require small optimisations or complete reimagining of the solution, and the way we achieve theoveralloutcomes.
What you will be doing
In addition to direct involvement withengineering teamsacross thebankwe are also driving the adoption of engineering best practice across Cyber and areestablishingan EngineeringExcellencepractice.Werequirean experienced engineer who has worked in high performing teams and has a broad knowledge, not justhands on developmentbut alsoorganisationally andhas a proventrack recordin drivingautomation,efficiencyqualityand continuous improvement.
This is an engineering led initiativeby engineers for engineerslooking at howtomatureandimprove engineering practice both within individual engineering teamsandhorizontallyacross cyber.
Responsibilities
Assistinestablishingthe engineering excellence programacross Cyber,buildinga community ofpracticeto drive consistency standardisation anda culture ofautomation andcontinuous improvement acrossteams.
Embed engineering efficiency,improvement and engineering best practiceacross cyberwith clarity on process,systemand tools.Partnering with the Engineeringleadsand capability ownersto ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
Work with the engineering teams in setting requirements that developservices and capabilities that meet the controls neededbutalso appeal toa broad customer base and enable operational efficiency throughout our value stream.
