Our Team, Your Impact

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to drive the implementationof innovative automation solutions across our site in Zaragoza.

In this role, you will lead the deployment of automation use cases, oversee equipment connectivity and data acquisition activities delivered by external partners, and act as the key liaison with automation integrators. You will play a pivotal role in introducing new technologies and ensuring the successful adoption of digital and automation-driven ways of working that enhance operational performance and efficiency.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

• Collaborate with automation expert for the identification of opportunities, definition of prioritization of automation efforts potential solutions
• Identify challenges and requirements(packaging constraints, utilities, HSE requirements, flexibility need, etc.) related to automation projects
• Lead the implementationof local automation initiatives and ensure the integration and coordinateactions with local integratorsfrom quotation to implementation, to system test and release
• Support the implementation of additional sensors and controllerson existing equipment to capture additional data
• Ensure implementation of new standard work on line and support operators and maintenance technicians with the new way of working
• Deploy PI Historian and middleware; coordinate firewall, network and MES connectivity.
• Supportmaintenance and improvement of the solutions(Perform health checks across PI, MES, Synergy, middleware, servers and machine IPCs; Monitor logs, PI notifications and time drift of connected in-process instruments; Troubleshoot network, configuration, middleware, adapters and vendor software defects; Document and qualify changes affecting Historian or MES data)

Your Skills and Experience

• BS/ MS degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical engineering
• Advanced English level (B2 minimum, C1 ideal)
• Very good knowledge of classical and new automation technologies (Robots) PLCs, drives, industrial networks, firewalls and data acquisition.
• Standard interfaces for data exchange (OPC UA/DA)
• Experience of implementation at scale of industrial projects
• Knowledge of PLC programming and data acquisition
• Experience in technical projects management
• Experience with external stakeholders management to handle the collaboration with local integrators
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Strong interest in new technologies, high energy level
• Ability to effectively work with multiple stakeholders
• Attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Highly resilient and creative
