We’re searching for a Database Coordinator, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will organize and maintain electronic databases to assure easy retrieval of information required for departmental reporting or to support operations. Data may include drawings, architectural/engineering plans, equipment specifications, operating manuals, cost information, and product sample materials depending upon department. Effectively communicate with internal customers and external vendors to define departmental requirements and develop reports from databases to meet those needs. May require review and redline of equipment and architectural drawings to ensure power, data, height, and space constraints are aligned between the drawings and the equipment list.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains department information databases.
  • Manage and maintain facilities and/or equipment databases, including adding new items, retiring old items, updating specifications and/or costs, etc.
  • Coordinates and manages standards information within facility database monthly. Makes changes as directed by equipment, space planners, or project managers. Create and run reports as required.
  • Manages and maintains database of drawings, product sample materials and literature in departmental resource library.
  • Maintains external website linked to departmental databases. Allocates user ID and passwords, monitors access, posts projects, resolves user questions, retires old projects, and cancels access for external users.

Skills & Requirements

  • Required High School Diploma or GED with a preferred bachelor's degree
  • Required 2 years of experience in maintaining a database
  • An associate degree in computer science, computer aided drafting or information systems technology may substitute for the two years of experience
