Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced, technical, and hands-on Manager, Global Security Engineering to lead the team responsible for TI’s enterprise physical security technology. This role owns the architecture, infrastructure, integration, system health, and lifecycle management of the security platforms that protect TI’s people, assets, and operations worldwide.

The manager leads a team of security engineers and directs global contract security integrators. The role combines physical security engineering with systems administration, data integration, and IT skills those platforms depend on. The manager works closely with Security Operations, the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Engineering, and Procurement.

Security Engineering exists to serve security operations: systems are owned so completely that operators and leaders simply use them. The team maintains the technical depth to keep critical platforms secure, available, and supported without any single points of failure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop security engineers, setting clear goals, high standards, and a culture of service and support of Security Operations and the GSOC
  • Own the global architecture, roadmap, health, and availability of access control, video management, video analytics, visitor management, mass notification, call recording, and risk intelligence platforms
  • Build cross-training, runbooks, and knowledge transfer so critical platforms always have multiple capable administrators
  • Design, execute, and maintain enterprise platform migrations, consolidations, and federated architectures that scale across a global footprint and variable network conditions
  • Establish enterprise design standards and review integrator designs before deployment
  • Plan and execute application, database, and operating system upgrades for security servers, including retirement of end-of-support systems
  • Deploy, configure, and performance-tune application, database, recording, and expansion servers
  • Oversee routine server maintenance, including monitoring, alert response, troubleshooting, configuration management, and periodic baseline updates
  • Partner with IT Infrastructure on virtualization, server builds, backup, and production outage response
  • Own integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems, including HR, identity, photo, visitor, and reporting feeds
  • Develop APIs, scripts, and middleware connections that improve data quality and reduce manual effort
  • Build dashboards and metrics for system health, performance, and operational effectiveness
  • Manage security systems as critical IT assets, including patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation, encryption, certificate management, and least-privilege access
  • Coordinate network connectivity, firewall rules, and segmentation for sites, remote locations, and mobile security assets
  • Partner with Cybersecurity on risk assessments, audits, logging, and compliance with enterprise security standards
  • Direct contract security integrators, including scope, design approval, quality, SLA performance, and commissioning
  • Manage manufacturer relationships, licensing, support agreements, and technical escalations
  • Develop annual capital and operating forecasts and lifecycle replacement plans
  • Lead security technology scope for new facilities, expansions, and major projects from design through handover
  • Maintain architecture diagrams, standards, asset inventories, SOPs, change records, and disaster recovery documentation
  • Lead business continuity, redundancy, backup, and recovery planning for critical security systems

Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, integrating, and administering enterprise physical security systems
  • Experience leading engineers, technical teams, or integrator workforces
  • Experience building or supporting data integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems
  • Experience managing integrators and vendors on multi-site projects with budgets, schedules, and quality standards

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issues through structured root cause analysis and drive them to resolution
  • Strong communication skills across engineering, operations, IT, vendor, and executive audience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Advanced experience with Genetec Security Center, including federation, access control, video, and system architecture
  • Experience with LenelS2 OnGuard, especially migrations to or coexistence with Genetec
  • Familiarity with TDS, Everbridge, Calibre by HigherGround, Crisis24 threat intelligence platform, or comparable security and GSOC technologies
  • Experience with virtualization, Active Directory, certificates, service accounts, and enterprise authentication
  • Scripting and automation skills, such as PowerShell, SQL, Python, or REST APIs
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks for physical security and operational technology, such as NIST CSF, IEC 62443, or ISO 27001
  • Experience with video analytics, AI-enabled security technologies, and edge-based devices
  • Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments with global operations
  • Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical systems for 24/7 operations
  • Demonstrated ownership, service orientation, people development, and disciplined execution
  • Hands-on Windows Server and SQL Server administration, including installation, upgrades, patching, backup and restore, and performance tuning
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for connected security systems, including vulnerability management, hardening, and secure architecture
  • Hands-on administration of enterprise access control and video management systems, including configuration, integrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Working knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, and bandwidth planning for video and distributed systems

Preferred Certifications

  • Genetec Security Center Technical Certifications
  • LenelS2 Certified Professional
  • ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP)
  • Microsoft Windows Server or SQL Server certification
  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA
  • CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Work Environment

  • Onsite role supporting 24/7 global security operations
  • Domestic and international travel as required
  • Participation in an on-call rotation and extended hours during critical incidents or major events
