Position Overview
Responsible for defining SAP application architecture and extension strategy, leveraging ABAP, RAP, and SAP BTP technologies. This role translates business needs into scalable solutions, guides development standards, and ensures a clean, supportable, and future-ready SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of SAP application development and extension solutions that support business objectives.
- Partner with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technology leaders to translate requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions.
- Define and maintain application development standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Drive SAP modernization initiatives, including clean-core and extensibility strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and approaches that enhance business processes and platform capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, compliance, and quality standards.
- Oversee solution reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the broader technology landscape.
- Mentor developers and serve as a subject matter expert for SAP application development and architecture.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of SAP application development experience, including experience leading solution design and architecture initiatives.
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA development, including ABAP, SAP Fiori, APIs, and application extensibility.
- Experience designing and delivering solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Knowledge of modern SAP development practices, clean-core principles, and cloud-based extension strategies.
- Experience with low-code/no-code technologies, workflow automation, and business process optimization.
- Understanding of SAP integration technologies and enterprise application architecture.
- Ability to establish development standards, best practices, and governance processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
Additional Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with ABAP Cloud, RAP, and SAP Build solutions.
- Experience supporting SAP transformation, migration, or greenfield S/4HANA implementations.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP services, integration platforms, and cloud technologies.
