Position Purpose:
At The Home Depot, UX helps transform complex enterprise operations into intuitive, effective experiences. As a member of the User Experience team, you will help shape the systems, services, and workflows that power one of the world's largest retailers.
We are seeking a service design focused UX Designer who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about improving experiences across interconnected teams, processes, and technologies. You bring a deep understanding of human-centered design, service design methodologies, and systems thinking, enabling you to uncover opportunities, connect user needs with business goals, and solve meaningful problems at scale.
In this role, you will partner closely with product managers, software engineers, researchers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design end-to-end experiences that improve how associates and customers interact with our products and services. You will actively contribute to every stage of the design process, from framing problems to synthesizing research, mapping service ecosystems, and creating future-state experiences.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and doing the work. Whether developing service blueprints, journey maps, workflows, prototypes, or experience frameworks, you are energized by bringing clarity to ambiguity and translating complex systems into intuitive, actionable solutions. You are equally comfortable in facilitating alignment among stakeholders, exploring opportunities through research and design thinking, and delivering tangible artifacts that drive decision-making and meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- 25% - Active Contributor in Planning and Strategy Activities - Executes on the experience vision & purpose: Combines user research outputs with OKRs of partners to clearly deliver on the vision of their experiences & drive alignment with partners in solutions on assigned product. Proactively identifies additional value across an experience domain. Leads stakeholder meetings to drive product alignment. Partners with Product, Development, other UX resources. Displays situational adaptability, is able to step in and drive change in products to better align with user needs or organizational goals. Has courage and organizational savvy to drive this change.
- 5% - Coaching and Mentoring - Actively refers outside talent. Coaches junior resources in UX activities. Mentors apprentices in product or workstream.
- 70% - Delivery and Execution - Advocates for design centered thinking inside your product. Provides UX design artifacts & tests usability of their assigned product. Leads data collection and synthesis.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

- 5-7 years of UX experience in an Enterprise or retail environment or a degree in related field
- 5-7 years of experience working with agile software development teams
- Desire to thrive in a fast-moving environment
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and self-manage complex projects
