Community Coordinator

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It  

You’re the person who makes a community feel like a community. As our Community Coordinator, you’ll be right in the middle of the action, bringing events, activities and NextGen and Student programming to life. You’ll work closely with the Connector to create experiences that get people talking, connecting and coming back for more. From welcoming new students to organising events and spotting the next great community idea, you’ll know what’s happening in the hub and, more importantly, who’s making it happen. You’ll build real relationships with students, NextGen participants and local community groups, while keeping the practical side of things running smoothly behind the scenes.  

It’s a role with plenty of room to bring your own ideas, get creative and grow your community-building skills. And since some of the best moments happen outside 9 to 5, so evenings and weekends are sometimes part of the fun.

What You’ll Do  

• Bring NextGen and Student programming to life, from planning and coordination to the actual event. 

• Build genuine relationships with students, NextGen participants and local community groups. 

• Welcome, onboard and activate new students and NextGen members throughout their journey. 

• Organise events and activities that give people a reason to connect, stay and come back. 

• Spot opportunities to create more engagement and turn good ideas into real community moments. 

• Keep track of attendance, feedback and engagement, and share useful insights with the Connector. 

• Work closely with the wider hub team to make sure community activities run smoothly. 

• Support the Connector with the day-to-day delivery of the hub's community programme. 

What You’ll Have  

• You have 1-2 years of experience in community building, events, programming or a similar people-focused role. 

• You bring strong organisational skills and can keep several moving parts under control. 

• You have excellent communication and people skills, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people. 

• You bring a creative mindset and naturally keep an eye out for new trends, ideas and ways to get people involved. 

• You have a hands-on attitude and are just as happy talking to members as you are sorting out the practical details behind an event. 

• You can work independently while staying closely connected with the Connector and wider hub team. 

• You are comfortable with admin, data and reporting, and speak both the local language and English fluently. Any additional languages are a bonus.
