Chef / Griller

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and required standards.
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste and presentation.
• Assist with menu planning and development where required.
• Manage food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering of ingredients.
• Minimise food wastage and control portion sizes.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean and well maintained.
• Work effectively as part of a kitchen team.
• Manage preparation and service during busy periods.
• Ensure food is stored correctly and in accordance with health and safety requirements.

• Matric / Grade 12 preferred.
• Relevant culinary qualification would be advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, lodge or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, organised and professional.
• Passion for food and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
