Network and Security Platform Engineer

Therap is transforming our global operations team into a modern Platform Engineering organization, and we are looking for a strong Network and Security Platform Engineer to drive key initiatives. We are moving away from manual configurations and ticket-driven operations toward Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated security compliance. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for our hybrid network infrastructure and security posture, helping to eliminate operational silos and working closely with development teams early in the lifecycle. You will help strengthen our capabilities in networking and security while becoming a key technical contributor in these domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer and maintain our core network infrastructure, including Cisco networking, cloud networking, FortiGate firewalls, and F5 LTM load balancers.
• Drive the transition from manual network configuration to "Network as Code" using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Collaborate proactively with application developers to design secure, scalable network architectures for both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Automate security and compliance controls and evidence collection to maintain our rigorous SOC2, ARC-AMPE, and HIPAA standards improve audit readiness and reduce manual effort..
• Mentor junior team members and OnCall engineers, fostering a culture of psychological safety, proactive problem-solving, and continuous learning.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in network engineering, cloud networking and infrastructure security in mid-to-large scale on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, FortiGate firewalls, and F5 LTM configurations.
• Proven ability to automate network/security tasks using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Experience operating in a highly regulated environment (healthcare/HIPAA is a major plus).
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Security+, CISSP or Fortinet certifications are preferred.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure or OCI certifications are a plus.
