CNC Busbar Fabrication Operator & Programmer

Job Description

We are hiring for 3rdshift Monday to Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:00am

Pay range $27-$35 per hour

This role is responsible for machine setup, CNC programming, quality inspection, process improvement, and safe operation while producing high-quality parts that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment for punching, drilling, milling, tapping, slotting, and shearing copper busbars.
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software and DXF/SolidWorks files.
• Perform tooling setup, machine calibration, first-piece inspections, and in-process quality checks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot tooling, offsets, and machine performance issues.
• Maintain program libraries, setup documentation, and inspection records.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC programming and machine operation experience.
• Experience with punching, drilling, milling, tapping, and shearing equipment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC/ISO code editing.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Strong inspection and measurement skills.
• Experience with copper busbar fabrication preferred.

Preferred

• Experience with Boschert CU Profi or similar busbar fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical busbar applications and busbar programming software.
• Forklift certification a plus.
