It is structured as a non-profit at the parent level with a for-profit subsidiary, and it is best known for its traditional annuity, an unusual product that pays lifetime income and has shared surplus with participants for over a century. Headquartered in New York, it administers retirement plans for millions of employees and owns the real estate manager Nuveen.

The Associate Capital Markets (Equity) reports to the Senior Director Capital Markets and assists with evaluating, analyzing and securing third party debt for Nuveen Real Estate's direct equity investments including acquisition, development and refinancing opportunities. In addition to placement of secured third party financing solutions for the US equity business, the Associate Capital Markets (Equity) assists in all aspects of securing third party debt for fund level facilities including subscription lines, repo-warehouse lines, Private Placements, Net Asset Value (NAV) facilities and secured/un-secured term/revolving facilities.
