About the Role

As State Manager QLD, you'll sit within our Client Services team, leading the commercial, strategic and operational agenda for Queensland. You'll be the senior point of contact for our key venues, promoters and national sports clients, building a team culture grounded in responsiveness, commitment and accountability. This is a role for a commercially-minded leader who thrives on strengthening client partnerships while driving performance across the state.

Outcomes to Deliver

In this role, you'll take ownership of the following outcomes:

  • Strengthen client partnerships and commercial performance - build deep, senior-level relationships with venues, promoters and national sports clients, and manage the State P&L to ensure QLD's commercial targets are met.
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team - manage and mentor the QLD Client Service Managers, building cross-capability and a culture of accountability, responsiveness and high performance.
  • Drive operational excellence and growth - ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across events, monitor key performance metrics, and identify new business opportunities to grow the QLD market.

Capabilities to Bring

You'll be set up for success with:

  • Proven People Leadership - strong experience leading and developing cross-functional teams, with a track record of managing performance, capability and recruitment.
  • Industry knowledge - a good understanding of live entertainment industry, including ticketing systems, event promotion and venue management, plus the ability to manage budgets, forecasts and P&L accountability.
  • Attention to Detail - comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines, with the flexibility to work weekends and out-of-hours, and a lateral, detail-focused approach to problem-solving
