Sr. Data Engineer - Snowflake & ADF - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

In this role, you will work on large-scale data warehouse and data integration projects, designing, developing, and operationalizing data solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse. You will work with Azure, Azure Data Factory, ETL technologies, and diverse data sources to build scalable data ingestion and integration solutions.

When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as a Snowflake Data Engineer

• You join a skilled team of data engineers and technology professionals where you learn new things with your colleagues.
• Design and develop Data Warehouse and Data Integration solutions for large-scale enterprise data environments.
• Architect, design, implement, and operationalize production-grade data solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
• Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake.
• Build data ingestion solutions from various and disparate data sources.
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed technical and data designs.
• Perform analysis of large data stores to identify insights, data issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze data and existing code to identify and determine the root cause of problems (RCA).
• Design and work with different database models, including transactional databases, data marts, and data warehouses.
• Develop complex and optimized SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, and other advanced query techniques.
• Work with ETL tools and technologies to support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of data integration and transformation processes.
• Work in an Azure environment and leverage Azure services for data engineering solutions.
• Use Claude or other AI tools to support data engineering activities and improve development productivity.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and stakeholders to coordinate delivery activities and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain and update Jira boards and participate in Agile delivery activities, including Scrum meetings.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices and solutions.

Who we are looking for

• 8+ years of experience in designing and developing Data Warehouse and Data Integration projects.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience designing and implementing fully operational, production-grade, large-scale data solutions on Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Solid experience and understanding of architecting, designing, and operationalizing large-scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
• Strong experience with Azure and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience building data ingestion pipelines from various data sources using Azure Data Factory.
• Strong expertise in loading data from disparate datasets and translating complex functional and technical requirements into detailed designs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, and data analysis.
• Good understanding of database design concepts, including Transactional databases, Data Marts, and Data Warehouses.
• Good analytical and data analysis skills, with the ability to investigate problems and identify root causes by analyzing data and existing code.
• Good knowledge of ETL concepts and ETL tools.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming, with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Experience using Claude or other AI tools for data engineering activities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with offshore teams and stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Jira and Scrum meetings.
