SEO Lead

We are looking for an experienced SEO Lead to lead organic growth for a B2B technology company operating across software development, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical SEO expertise with content strategy, semantic SEO, AI-powered search optimization, and conversion-focused thinking. This role is focused on turning organic search into a consistent source of qualified traffic, leads, and business opportunities.

You will work closely with content, development, design, and marketing teams to identify opportunities, build AEO strategies, and drive measurable organic growth.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Growth

• Own and execute the overall SEO strategy and roadmap.

• Identify opportunities to increase qualified organic traffic, leads, and conversions.

• Develop strategies around high-intent commercial and service-related searches.

• Prioritize SEO initiatives based on business impact, search opportunity, and implementation effort.

• Monitor search trends, algorithm updates, and changes in user search behavior.

• Continuously identify new opportunities for organic growth.

Technical & On-Page SEO

• Lead technical SEO audits covering crawling, indexing, site architecture, internal linking, structured data, and performance.

• Identify and resolve technical issues that impact organic visibility.

• Optimize service, solution, industry, case study, and other high-value pages.

• Improve website architecture, URL structure, internal linking, and content organization.

• Collaborate with developers to implement technical SEO recommendations.

• Support SEO requirements for website launches, migrations, and major technical changes.

Content & Semantic SEO

• Develop content strategies aligned with business goals and search demand.

• Conduct keyword research and search-intent analysis.

• Build topical maps, content clusters, and semantic content frameworks.

• Identify content and topical gaps through competitor and SERP analysis.

• Create SEO briefs and provide strategic direction to content teams.

• Optimize existing content for relevance, search intent, topical depth, and conversions.

• Strengthen internal linking and relationships between related topics, entities, and pages.

AI SEO, GEO & AEO

• Develop strategies to improve visibility across AI-powered search experiences and generative search platforms.

• Optimize content for AI Overviews, answer engines, and other emerging search experiences.

• Improve content structure and entity relationships to make information easier for search engines and AI systems to understand.

• Identify opportunities to increase brand mentions and citations across AI-generated search results.

• Monitor changes in AI search behavior and develop new optimization approaches.

• Explore AI-powered tools and automation to improve SEO research, analysis, content workflows, and reporting.

Conversion-Focused SEO

• Align SEO strategies with lead generation and business objectives.

• Identify high-value pages and search journeys with strong commercial intent.

• Work with design and marketing teams to improve landing-page experience and conversion opportunities.

• Analyze user behavior and organic performance to identify potential conversion barriers.

• Connect SEO performance with meaningful business outcomes rather than traffic alone.

Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor organic traffic, impressions, clicks, rankings, leads, conversions, and other relevant KPIs.

• Use tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio.

• Develop actionable SEO reports and communicate insights to stakeholders.

• Identify performance trends, gaps, and opportunities.

• Measure the impact of SEO initiatives against business objectives.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and support SEO team members.

• Review SEO strategies, audits, content briefs, technical recommendations, and implementations.

• Establish SEO processes, SOPs, and quality standards.

• Assign priorities and ensure timely execution of SEO initiatives.

• Support the team in developing stronger technical, strategic, and analytical SEO capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with content, development, design, product, and marketing teams.

• Translate business objectives into actionable SEO strategies.

• Communicate SEO recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Manage SEO priorities, dependencies, and implementation requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including experience in a senior or leadership role.

• Experience with B2B, SaaS, software, technology, or enterprise websites.

• Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and content strategy.

• Strong knowledge of semantic SEO, topical authority, search intent, and information architecture.

• Experience with SEO-led lead generation and conversion-focused optimization.

• Practical understanding of AI SEO, GEO, AEO, or emerging AI search experiences.

• Proficiency in Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, and Screaming Frog.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Experience working with developers, content teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in technology consulting, software development, or digital transformation.

• Understanding of entity SEO, structured data, and knowledge graphs.

• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with SEO automation and AI-assisted SEO workflows.

• Familiarity with CRO, marketing funnels, and lead tracking.

• Experience with Looker Studio or automated SEO reporting.

• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or similar platforms.
